Real Ale Brew Fest!
Real Ale Brewing company in Blanco, TX is gaining quite a reputation for their handcrafted ales! Their tasting room is only open on Friday afternoons. So for those of you who have the day off or make one of your missions in life to find the best handcrafted beers and can make the time one way or another, this is a must attend event!
We'll meet at the Y in Oak Hill at 1:30 and leave at 1:45 after setting up carpools. We'll taste beers for a couple hours, take a tour of the brewery if you want, and then go grab some dinner (likely Barbecue) in the fine, small town of Blanco. Those are the plans for now always subject to group change. Real Ale has about 12 different ales but are best known for their Fireman's Four which is becoming fairly common in the Austin area and becoming quite popular. The seasonal beer hopefully will be the Scottish ale which is one of the smoothest beers I've ever tasted
However, my favorite is the Brewhouse brown ale See link for more info on these rapidly becoming beers of choice for the Texan who enjoys their beer! |
