Camp Eagle Adventure Weekend!

Spend Memorial Day weekend at Camp Eagle near Rocksprings, Texas. It's a beautiful place to spend the weekend. There's a ton of cool activities to do like hike and bike trails, swimming and kayaking in the Nueces River, rock climbing wall, swimming pool, tennis courts, camping, and zip line! What more could you ask for? Cost is only $10 for a weekend wristband that includes all activities listed above plus a happy hour Sunday evening sponsored by Saint Arnold beer.
There will be an adventure race going on Saturday and it's fun to cheer on the racers and mingle with everyone at the race. This camp is a youth adventure retreat throughout the year so it is very kid-friendly. If you have an adventurous kid, bring them, they will love it!
Charlie and I are heading out there Friday evening because we want to volunteer with the race that starts Saturday morning. We plan to stay Friday evening thru to Monday around lunch time. If you can get the afternoon off from work Friday, you are welcome to follow us out there as it is quite remote (which is a good thing)! You're welcome to make it a long weekend and stay til Monday around lunch time if you like.
Otherwise, I will provide directions if you will join us there on Saturday. If you are arriving on Saturday, you can arrive at whatever time works best for you. Camp Eagle is near the town of Rocksprings. It takes about 3 hours to get there. But, once you're there, you're in heaven!
Meals:
There is a kitchen that will be cooking meals for purchase. If you'd rather save money and cook at camp, you can do that too. This is a super kid-friendly event. But, per camp rules, please keep the pooch at home.
Amenities:
The camp has FULL amenities such as a pool house with showers, several restrooms, coffee house on site, picnic areas, etc.
Getting there:
We will go via Dripping Springs to Fredericksburg to I-10 for a short way and then to Rocksprings. If you plan to carpool Friday, meet us in the HEB parking lot at the "Y" in Oak Hill near the McDonald's side of the parking lot at 1 pm. Make sure your car is gassed up when you meet us so we can go straight thru.
If you come on your own Saturday, detailed driving directions are below.
