Golf hackers unite at Butler Pitch & Putt in Central Austin

Did you know there is a beginner 9 hole golf course just south of downtown? It is an excellent course for those who are new to golf Butler Pitch Putt has been going strong since 1950 http://www.butlerparkpitchandputt.com/Pages/default.aspx This course is very friendly to beginners and experience can help, but is not required. An optional mini golf lesson will be offered at 5:30pm . The cost will be 5.00 per person for 30 minutes. Women can do as well or better than men. We will actually cook burgers on the water....yep that s right, a floating grill. The beer part is easy, and I ll have the grill ready to go. You just need to canoe, or kayak, even tube to the rendezvous point mid lake where Barton Creek empties into Town Lake aka Lady Bird Lake . So bring your food and drink. I ll have a larger cooler to dump your drinks into, and of course the grill will be ready to cook.

A 4.45 hour comprehensive group class that includes the following: 40 minute classroom session 1 hour land simulator session 2 hour on water session Equipment and safety vests provided No experience necessary Instructor: Scott Johnson, certified by the Windsurfing Instructors of America with 15 years experience.
